Fernando Valdez Mensoone

Menso was born in 1981 in southern California. Art is his god given talent and he was blessed to have been given the perfect setting by fate to witness a culture blossom that derived from cavemen and Native American markings. In modern days we also know this as graffiti art. Coming from a hardworking family, being raised in gang infested neighborhoods, Menso expresses honor and respect and is a product of the streets. He was intrigued by the urban dialect, gang graffiti and prison art tattoos that he always found himself surrounded by as a youth. A divorce between his parents which was common at the time, led Menso to awaken his mind in a different environment which introduced him to skateboarding, hip-hop, and punk rock cultures that were the yin & yang to his passion. He relates to every cultural movement through art.

Meshing together all the beautiful styles life had to offer in America’s melting pot, Menso has been influenced by all walks of life and has let the struggle build his character. Many of his collaborative art projects with numerous companies have been by destiny. Due to the fact that he hasn’t been out looking for a creative outlet, opportunities have naturally crossed his path. This makes each masterpiece a much richer substance due to the artists credibility. Menso’s goal is to obtain a classic and everlasting piece in every which way shape or form of art and continues to inspire the youth, leaving a positive impression on society through his form of expression.
